Hyperopia Treatment Options
Contact Lenses and Eyeglasses
Hyperopia can be corrected with certain eyeglasses or contact lenses, but they do not cure the irregularly curved cornea that’s causing the blurry vision; this correction can only be done with surgery. Patients also find it inconvenient to wear and maintain contact lenses and eyeglasses on a daily basis.
Laser Vision Correction for Farsightedness (PRK and Lasik Surgery for Farsightedness)
Lasik surgery to correct hyperopia is a great option; it may decrease or completely eliminate the need for eyeglasses and/or contact lenses. Our Orange County Lasik patients have experienced excellent results after their Lasik surgery for farsightedness.
