Latisse® for longer, fuller, darker lashes
Latisse® (bimatoprost ophthalmic solution 0.03%) is an FDA-approved prescription treatment for eyelashes that are too short, thin or sparse.
Longer
Lashes grow in length over the treatment period.
Fuller
More lashes and thicker lashes along the lash line.
Darker
Lashes become noticeably darker.
Latisse® is applied right at the base of the lashes, millimeters from the eye. Having it prescribed and monitored by an eye doctor is a real advantage.
How Latisse® works
It is not an in-office procedure. After a short consultation, you apply it at home once a night.

Side effects to know about
The most common side effects are itchy or red eyes. The skin of the eyelid can darken, which usually reverses after stopping. Hair can grow where the solution repeatedly touches skin, so blot any excess. Latisse® may also increase brown pigment in the colored part of the eye, which is likely permanent. Dr. Chebil reviews these with you before prescribing.

Latisse® in Newport Beach: common questions
Something else on your mind? Send us a text and our team will answer.
How long until I see results?
Growth starts at about four weeks, most people see a clear change at about eight weeks, and full results arrive at about sixteen weeks.
What happens if I stop using Latisse?
Your lashes gradually return to how they were before, over several weeks to months.
Can I wear contact lenses and makeup?
Yes. Remove contacts and makeup before applying. Contacts can go back in 15 minutes later.
Do I need a prescription?
Yes. Latisse® is a prescription treatment, which is why it starts with a consultation.
How much does Latisse cost in Newport Beach?
Latisse® is sold by the kit and the price depends on the size. Our team can give you current pricing.
Can I use Latisse on my lower lashes?
No. Latisse® is applied only along the base of the upper lashes. Applying it to the lower lid increases the chance of unwanted hair growth on the skin.
Can I use Latisse if I take glaucoma drops?
Tell Dr. Chebil first. Latisse® belongs to the same drug family as some glaucoma drops and may interfere with how well they lower eye pressure, so your eye pressure should be monitored.
Is Latisse safe?
Latisse® is FDA-approved and generally well tolerated. The most common side effects are itchy or red eyes and darkening of the eyelid skin. Because it is applied next to the eye, an eye exam before you start is a real advantage.
Do you see patients from outside Newport Beach?
Yes. Our office at 4740 Von Karman Ave. is close to the 405 and easy to reach from across Orange County, including Irvine, Costa Mesa and Huntington Beach.
